What is brand video production?

Unlike ads, brand videos don’t ask the viewer to take a specific action, like buying something. Instead, they aim to inform, entertain, and build awareness and trust. Through evocative storytelling, brand videos communicate the problems you solve, who you solve them for, and what makes you different (e.g. your personality and values). They try to create an emotional connection, indirectly motivating people to buy from you or engage with your brand in another way. Brand videos might focus on a specific product or service, your business’s origin story, your team culture, social proof like testimonials and case studies, or a range of other things.

Do you work with businesses outside of WA?

Can you help with scriptwriting and storyboarding?

If you need help writing a script for your upcoming brand video shoot, we have decades of writing experience and would love to help. Just let us know during pre-production.

Do you make animated brand videos?

We aren’t an animation studio, but we can certainly point you in the right direction if you need animated videos. Our brand video production is for brands who want to build authentic connections by keeping people in the picture. While our videos may include some motion graphics (e.g. to display a logo or some text), they’re mostly composed of live-action footage we film ourselves. We don’t use stock footage.

Can we film our team members, or do we need to get paid actors?

We focus on brand video production that builds genuine connections. To do that, we need to capture real moments and stories. Actors can certainly add a lot of value to a video and imbue it with an authentic feel — for which most people are willing to suspend their disbelief. But in our experience, the real deal is more impactful, and we’d prefer to film you and your team. If that makes you nervous, don’t worry. We’ve been filming for more than 20 years, and we know how to make you feel at ease; you might even forget there’s a camera. When you record brand videos with us, it will feel like a friendly chat, not an interview.

Do you offer photography as well?

While our main focus is video, our trusted Inception Collective includes photographers who share our values. Whether you need photos alone or as part of a video package, we’ve got you covered.

Do you offer aerial and drone photography?

Yes, we offer aerial and drone videography. And our licensed operators handle everything — from securing permissions to delivering striking aerial footage that elevates your brand.
